In the great field of Architecture and Design, I believe that there are no Boundaries; there is no limitation to our imaginations and inventions. Thus, being inspired by the very first Architectural Journalist of the world ‘Le Corbusier’ who despite all odds sustained his goals and aspirations, I wish to put forward my ideas and viewpoints towards the Rejuvenation of the Traditional concepts to which India is the First Signatory.
Following the described less traveled path, I have been an active contributor to Architectural Journalism with over 150 publications and five books related to Architecture and allied fields to my credit to date and several accolades in Design Competitions and paper presentations. After graduating as an architect in May 2016, I have taught for a year each at the National Institute of Technology, Hamirpur, McGAN’s Ooty College of Architecture, and Vishwaniketan College of Architecture, Navi Mumbai. I have also mentored Undergrad Fellowship program for Architecture at the University of Rome, TorVergata, Italy in summer 2019. Recently, I have won the WA Awards 10+5+X in the 35th and 36th cycles. My entry “What’s Up Paris” was awarded in the WA Awards, 35th Cycle in Academia/Student category, while “Cost-Effective Habitat” won the WA Awards, 36th Cycle.
During my association with the Bauhaus Dessau, I have led and coordinated the Open Studio entitled ‘Indigenous Habitat’ (July 2020). The program’s theme called for an in-depth understanding of the term “Habitat” aiming towards the resurgence of its indigenous origins. The design brief of the course included three tasks: designing a material relief, writing an object biography, and designing a takeaway on their teachings from the studio. The goal of these tasks was to explore novel ways of raising their awareness of their habitat in a wider sense. Post my Masters, I have taught the ‘Design as Projection’ MSc. module with Prof. Joachim Krausse at Anhalt University, Dessau as a visiting lecturer and also conducted a Workshop on ‘Lateral Thinking’ as a participant for the Bauhaus Study Rooms Program (Dec 2020). Currently, I am pursuing Doctorate of Philosophy (Dr. Ing) from faculty of Architecture & Urbanism, Bauhaus-Universität Weimar, Germany.
Hoping that while proceeding in this direction - I can achieve significant milestones while searching for my ‘Everest’ in Architecture. You can reach me at [email protected]
