I am an urbanist architect. Mostly, I am a flâneur, curious about my surroundings and about what is yet to be discovered. I enjoy creating places that respond to their context and that reflect the very qualities found in their surroundings.
With diverse range of public and private project experience, encompassing strategy, planning and urban design/development in the US, Europe, Canada, Latin America and the Middle East my career that has been a collaborative experience in which, as a part of a team and often as the lead, I have to fuse urban design and landscape with environmental design, sustainable master-planning and architectural design.
Currently phasing out as leader of the Urban Design team for Riyadh Metro in charge of the strategy to integrate the metro project with the public realm; endeavouring to deliver pedestrian friendly boulevards with streetscape amenities, bike lanes and traffic-calming improvements along major city traffic corridors, playing a key role as client project liaison.
I was born in Latin America, I have lived and and worked most of my life in NYC, and worked in the Middle East, I am now based in Lisbon, Portugal where apart from beautiful ancient architecture we are witnessing a strong new wave of design and construction all around.
