Mariko Sugita - Japan

Since October 21, 2018

Mariko Sugita has been appointed as Japan's Country Reporter, as part of the WAC's Country Editors/Reporters program. Mariko completed MSc in Urban Studies at the Free University of Brussels. Since her degree was set in various cities in Europe, she has visited and conducted research in more than 80 cities and 130 urban initiatives & related organizations in different parts of the world. Currently, her professional field is research, marketing, editorial and writing in the field of architecture and urbanism. She also owns a global urban media & platform called Traveling Circus of Urbanism.
