As the deadline approaches, we've outlined five essential tips for preparing a successful entry before submitting it to your WAC page.
Do you aspire to be recognized as a WA Awards 10+5+X winner? Read on for our five important tips on how to craft a successful entry for the 51st Cycle of the WA Awards.
1. Choose your best and most innovative projects: Selecting the right and innovative project is crucial for the WA Awards 10+5+X. Therefore, choose one or more of your most current and groundbreaking projects for your entries.
2. Prepare your projects as a complete package: Ensure your projects are ready as a complete package. This means you should have images, drawings, illustrations, graphics, project descriptions, and key facts prepared in advance. This will facilitate easy uploading to the system and help you adhere to our guidelines. For a step-by-step guide on how to upload your entries, please refer to our visual guidance on the "How To Participate" page.
3. Choose the most appealing head image to capture the attention of the WAC jury and members: All WAC jury members, fellow members, and regular visitors will see your head image on your project page. Selecting the best head image for your presentation can enhance visibility and increase your chances of receiving votes from the WAC jury and fellow members.
4. Keep your project description balanced: When writing your project description, avoid making it too long or too short. The WAC system requires that project descriptions be at least 1,500 characters (including spaces). Aim for a balanced description that is both readable and clear, effectively conveying your idea.
5. Upload Your Project Submissions in Advance to the System: Upload your entries to your WAC page ahead of the deadline to get a clear view of how your project(s) will look in a complete layout. This will also help you avoid major mistakes during the presentation. Remember, once you submit your entry, the projects are automatically locked, and participants cannot edit them. Therefore, we strongly recommend that you upload your projects before the deadline.
