Hugo Henrique Merino Ferraz was born in Tomar, lives and works in Lisbon.

He studies at Lusíada University of Lisbon where he graduated in 2005.
Since 2006 he works in architecture, studies and construction projects in several offices in Lisbon and continue to form partnerships in architecture work, national and international contests, developing architectural solutions in different phases of projectual evolution.

In 2006 also develops his work as Expert Appraiser - real state appraisal - promoting the construction, preparatory work to advise on the situation of the real value of movable and immovable property in the Valtecnic Group.

From 2012 he is invited to teach in Vocational School Valdorio, Oeiras, Portugal, where he teaches until July 2014.

In 2014 he founded Ideas Forward, an internet platform which develops international competitions of ideas in the field of architecture and design and which plays director functions.

In 2017 he starts to collaborate with World Architecture Community (WAC) as a Portugal Reporter and found no_studio architects

In June 2017, he is invited to become production director of Quanta Produções, at the Temple of Poetry, in Oeiras, Portugal for the project "Poéticas da Lingua Portuguesa".
