World-renowned Portugese architect Alvaro Siza Vieira is the winner of 26 proposals submitted to the competition for the design of a pedestrian and cycle bridge that links Vila Nova de Cerveira and Tomiño in Galicia. The project is named "Raia" and is composed of a huge metallic arch with the s-shaped bridge that surrounds it in a very delicate way. The bridge will be 300 meters long and will cost about 3.38 million euros.

This project is part of a larger project that aims to enhance the two areas, Vila Nova de Cerveira and Tomiño, resulting in the union of two green spaces that are face to face separated by the Minho River, Castelinho Leisure Park and Fortaleza Goián.
