Bosnia and Herzegovina Architecture News - Jun 18, 2021 - 09:11 4821 views
The impact of the pandemic. Bridge – sustainable architecture. Healthy environment. Nature and landscape has a healing effect and gives calmness. According to general data and research, climate change has increased poverty in the world. This fact in Bosnia - Herzegovina has affected architecture as a branch connected to the economic situation at one place, town, village, local community, country. Trees, river with river stone and riverside for the mind and the sense of a place with the smell of the summer and wind represent a good example of the nature and landscape surrounding.
Where does the architecture society stand on climate change and the COVID-19 pandemic? Advice on the COVID-pandemic from RIBA (Royal Institute of British Architects) can be found in the latest updates. What is data use, supporting the basic human needs during medical crisis of COVID-19 and post – pandemic? Data shows that Bosnia - Herzegovina is covered with nature and around 53% of forest land and large amount of rivers and water streams. When thinking on the built projects effect and urban design towards society, the results can be different from sensing to mind and connection of the users. Dealing with climate change mitigation and adaptation is in addition to the Green Deal in financing. Climate change has had a lot of impact in the care for healthy sustainable architecture, food and environment.
Architectural design is turning currently to buildings that are needed such as large retail centres, housing multistorey buildings with offices and apartments smaller than 30 m2 or one - bedroom apartments, real estate being sold and the amount of agricultural land and farm areas has slightly risen. Nevertheless, the energy demand and energy sources for buildings and the bills that come with that have shown how the current pandemic crisis has affected market development and investment.
The advantages of BIM (Building Information Modelling) are the possibilities of easy use for architecture projects with the environment, urban planning and different building site types while BIM can be used for architectural design, restoration, adaptation and redesign. Investments should be turned to renovations and climate - resilient projects in architecture.
As one of 192 countries, Bosnia - Herzegovina has signed the sustainable development agenda. Looking further at the SDG (Sustainable Development Goals) components such as component Goal 11 it's easy to understand why there is a need to increase the number of communities and cities that implement integrated politics and action plans for stopping climate change, the efficient use of resources and become resilient to natural disasters as well as to increase the role of local communities from 50% to 100%.
According to component Goal 13 the need for urgent measures for lowering the effects of climate change, lowering the risks of climate change and the way it is connected to natural disasters anywhere is shown as a necessity.
As the term "smart city" becomes popular and trendy, the way cities become smart using innovations, ideas with services or products must create equal and enough payed quality jobs while caring for the environment.
