Sweden Architecture News - May 06, 2022 - 11:34 2123 views
World Architecture Community has teamed up with the ICLEI World Congress 2021 - 2022, hosted by ICLEI - Local Governments for Sustainability and the City of Malmö, to publish six short films focusing on the key areas and aspects of sustainable urban development in cities.
The films are specifically released for the upcoming ICLEI World Congress 2021 - 2022, which will be held as a hybrid summit on 11-13 May under the theme of "Sustainability. Together".
Produced by the City of Malmö, the films, covering a range of topics - starting from Circular Economy, Climate Neutral Building to Low emission Transport - are very practice-oriented and case-study based 7-min movies.
Each movie explores a different aspect of sustainable urbanism that can draw attention to a different solution in cities.

The first film, titled Circular City, moderated by Trevor Graham, Sustainability Consultant at UrbanIsland, explores new circular solutions and explains how the notion of circular economy is growing and becoming increasingly mainstream in Malmö in energy, building, waste and wastewater management.
The video takes a look at some of the large-scale and small-scale enterprises to discuss the topic of circular economy and reveals problem-solving initiatives.
In the 5-minute video, Anna Vilen, Marketing and Communication at Sysav, a recycling company at Southern Sweden, Martin Kylefors, Strategic Business Developer at VA Syd, the local water company, join Trevor Graham with the examples they developed.
World Architecture Community will publish two new films next week, titled Climate Neutral Building and Equitable and Inclusive City.
Registration is open and you can purchase your ticket for the Malmö Summit from here.
