Elis Mutlu is an urban sociologist mainly focuses on the ways in which co-housing and self-help housing communities are built, develop and transform over time in Europe as well as in Turkey. She studied her BA degree in Sociology at Bogazici University in Istanbul. And she received her MSc degree in European Urban Studies at the Faculty of Architecture and Urbanism from Bauhaus University Weimar. She has more than 5 years of research and/or working experience in various countries including the Netherlands, Denmark, Egypt, Germany, Turkey and the Czech Republic. She is currently living in Prague.
