Luan Fontes is a multidisciplinary architectural designer and researcher, currently studying at Columbia University, where he is enrolled in the Climate School and the Graduate School of Architecture, Planning, and Preservation (GSAPP). He serves as a Research Assistant at the Columbia Climate School, contributing to projects focused on climate vulnerability and urban adaptation.

Luan's professional journey includes experience at globally renowned firms such as Bjarke Ingels Group (BIG) in New York, where he worked as a Design Assistant, and Skidmore, Owings & Merrill (SOM), where he participated as a Shadower.

Recognized for his contributions to urban design and architecture, Luan has earned over 17 prestigious awards worldwide. His work reflects a commitment to sustainability, innovative design, and addressing socio-environmental challenges through architecture and urban planning.
