Professor Ian Ritchie leads one of the world’s most thoughtful, original and influential contemporary collaborative architectural practices which has received over 100 national and international awards for their projects. Ian is a Royal Academician, an Honorary Fellow of the Royal Academy of Music and Royal Academy of Engineering, Fellow of the Society of Façade Engineering and member of the Akademie der Künste. He has chaired many international juries including RIBA Stirling Prize, the RIAS Doolan Award, Czech Architecture Grand Prix, the French government’s 'Nouveaux Jeunes Albums' and Berlin Art Prize. He was founder director of Rice Francis Ritchie - design engineering practice. He is Honorary Visiting Professor at Liverpool University, and Politecnico di Milano Archi/Urban Planning/Construction Engineering faculty academic board member. A poet and artist as well as an architect. He continues to lecture globally, has published several books, including poetry, and his art is held in several international galleries and museums.
