The 12th annual Detroit Month of Design will take place between September 1-30, 2022.

The citywide collaboration of creativity that gathers designers and the greater community to celebrate Detroit’s role as a national and global design capital.

This year's theme is "United By Design" and the organizers' intention with the 2022 festival is to bring unity to the forefront. "We believe this element holds the key to creating a future in which all people, and our planet, can thrive."

Detroit Month of Design 2022 will hold 49 indoor events, 23 outdoor events, 14 exhibitions and 10 open studio events. Taking place throughout the City of Detroit and online, the festival features a combination of virtual, outdoor and indoor experiences.

The event offers a range of events and experiences throughout the month all over Detroit. Find an event that suits your personal or professional interests and help us celebrate the design community in Detroit.

Design Core is taking careful measures to ensure a safe Detroit Month of Design experience. All in-person events will follow the guidelines for group gatherings set by the State of Michigan.
