Here are the five evaluation criteria that determine the selection of your project at the WA Awards 10+5+X:

Novelty. Projects must show a Novelty and have the potential to inspire exciting questions about contemporary architectural discourse.

Originality. Projects must be original with the idea it proposes, and should refer to these facts, modernism, globalization, identity, inequality and development, staying out of the usual stereotypes.

Creativity. Projects must openly showcase the creativity of architecture and be open to questioning the future role of architecture in evolving conditions and its established paradigm.

Commitment to the art of architecture. Projects must clearly show the relationship of architecture with art and expand the knowledge of architecture and art, and with the qualities of the project they should also encourage learning from their differences.

Bridging the gap between theory and practice. Projects must facilitate access to “theory” in architecture for all scholars, students, and enthusiasts. They must have the potential to transform educational theory and practice by linking resources.
