Due to the UNESCO-Organized International architectural competition for the reconstruction and rehabilitation of the Al Nouri Complex in Mosul, the Faculty of Architecture and Design of Eskisehir Technical University is planning to gather a team from international students and professional architects and professors of the region to attend to this unique and peaceful event.

UNESCO, in close coordination with the Iraqi Ministry of Culture and the Iraqi Sunni Endowment and the support of the United Arab Emirates, is administering this international design competition for selecting a winning design entry for the Reconstruction and Rehabilitation of the Al Nouri complex in Mosul and Faculty of Architecture and Design of Eskisehir Technical University, as one of the newest and pioneers of architecture and design educational centers which have different students and professors and lecturers from all over the world and also middle East different countries such as Iraq, Syria, Iran, Afghanistan and Arab countries, is interested to attend to this competition with a different-nationalities team to reach one and important goal; PEACE, which is the main message of this competition and UNESCO as ever.

Thus, according to the competition rules and needs, the mentioned faculty needs professional and students team member as below:

1- Professional Architects and Designers; At least 5 years of experience in the field, with demonstrated previous experience in rehabilitation of historical buildings and/or new designs in historical contexts

2- Professional Architects and Designers; At least 2 other examples of completed works from concept, design to as-built

3- Professional Architects and Designers; At least 1 other example of a project of intervention in a historical urban context

4- Architecture and Interior Design Students (Bachelor or Master); With Design knowledges and Related Software and abilities.

The aim of Faculty of Architecture and Design of Eskisehir Technical University is to help and improve the cultural gathering of national and international professors and students from region and even all over the world and this UNESCO big event is a great opportunıty to reach this aim.
