Only 2 days left to submit your projects to WA Awards 10+5+X 36th Cycle! As the deadline is fast approaching, we have listed some important tips on how to prepare a successful entry before sending them to WA Awards 10+5+X 36th Cycle.
WA Awards is accepting entries from architects, architecture offices, interior designers, interior design offices, architecture and interior design students from all around the world.
Entries close on Monday, November 30, 2020 (23:59 GMT) and if you are not a WAC member yet, start your entry today by simply creating an account from here! If you are already a member of WAC, you can sign in to WAC from here and upload a project.
Here are some important entry tips on how to prepare a successful entry for the WA Awards:
Project section. Select the most up-to-date project from your office portfolio. It will help your project to be recognized globally.
Images. Select the most striking images, drawings and illustrations of your project. Associate members may upload up to 10 images, while Professional and Academic member may upload up to 20 images per project. They should ideally be in landscape format (try to avoid portrait images for better results). It is allowed Max. 5Mb per image in JPG, JPEG and PNG formats. A selection of good quality images will help the jury to be able to understand your project better. Please avoid uploading posterized, patchworked, assembled or otherwise images with text.
Presenting in correct category. If you will send a project in Architecture Section, you need to present your project with outer visuals while uploading. If you will send a project to Interior Section, you need to upload the interior visuals of the project.
Design intentions. Explain your design decisions and the project idea in the most effective way. You should write your project description with minimum 1500 characters (with spaces) in your editor. You can use sub-titles to be more specific and direct in project descriptions.
Technical data. You should give all the technical details about your project, such as the size of the project, height, number of stories, the size of amenity and public spaces, footprint, program, details of structure, etc.
Project team. You should write the complete team members who have involved in the project. You should use specific titles if there is a lead designer in the project. Plus, you should also write other consultant or engineering teams working on the project.
Mandatory fields. You should complete all the fields preceded by an asterisk (*) to be able to save your project.
Always make a double-check. If your upload is complete, go back to your "My Projects" and click on your project title in the editor to see how your project seems in a general layout. If you are ready, you can click on "Participate Now" button to send your entry, once your submission is successful, your payment receipt will drop to your registered email and you will see a label on your submitted project. Don't forget! When you complete your submission, the submitted project can not be edited as it is locked automatically.
