India Architecture News - Sep 10, 2020 - 13:37 3332 views
GospelArch is a mobile app founded by two students of architecture, that publishes bite-sized content of the latest updates and rare fun facts. The co-founders of the app, Shreya Lade and Mrunmai Mangoli, are students of Lokmanya Tilak Institute of Architecture and Design Studies, Navi Mumbai, India.
The duo got together, sharing similar work methodologies, to “bring the world of Architecture, Art, and Design at the reader’s fingertips.” “Being the students of Architecture, we have realized that we hardly get time to read, but staying updated is a crucial part of a student’s learning process, hence we decided to cut down large amounts of text to bite-size chunks which will help to retain information in a better way! Hence, GospelArch was born. It enables reading anytime anywhere and helps to stay updated in fewer words”, says the team.
The user interface of the app is neatly organized with light colors and sufficient contrast, providing an imageable navigation through its contents. The app categorizes its news updates and facts into art and architecture related.
Furthermore, there are tabs for e-learning and features too. The app is developed in collaboration with Pace Web Solutions, currently available on Google Play Store for Android users. A version of the app is under development for the iOS platform too.
GospelArch also collaborates with architects and artists for features and discussions on the app, as an effort to bring to light laudable works that are yet to see the light. This journalistic effort of GospelArch is currently being published as news segments such as “Featured Friday” and “Beyond Usual”. The former features work of emerging professionals in the field, while the latter does so for works in areas allied to architecture.
GospelArch’s goals are also to aid student communities under academic timelines with diverse and fun learning about architecture in a concise format. “GospelArch is intended for educational purposes. It is meant to uncover the unpopular facts as wells as other sources of information in the vast field of Art, Architecture and design”, says the team.
Updates from GospelArch can be followed on their Instagram and Facebook Handles. The direct Google Play Store link to the app is available on GospelArch’s website.
