The College of Architects of Costa Rica announces its thirteenth international biennial of architecture, in San José, from 4 to 7 May 2016. Architects from around the world are invited to participate in this major exhibition on the theme: Architecture = Quality of Life. A special section of the exhibition is reserved for students of architecture. Presentations will be grouped according to six categories: architectural and town planning realisations or projects, landscapes, rehabilitation of architectural heritage, research and publications.
The jury will award a National Grand Prize to a presentation from Costa Rica as well as an International Grand Prize and a Student Prize. Inscriptions are open until February 20, 2016. Architect Edwin González is the coordinator of International Biennale of Costa Rica. The location of the Biennial is the Museo de los Ninos building, which is an historical building completed in the 19th century.
