Twenty-two UIA member sections submitted nominations for the 2014 UIA Gold Medal and Prizes. They are the professional organisations in the following countries: South Africa,Australia, Brazil, Canada, Costa Rica, Egypt, Spain, France, Greece, Italy, Lebanon, Malaysia, Nigeria, Norway, Uzbekistan, Poland, Portugal, Republic of Korea, United Kingdom, Russia,Sudan and the USA. Sixty-five nominations were submitted, including thirteen for the UIA Gold Medal.The jury will meet in Melbourne, Australia, on 5 May 2014. It is composed of the UIA Bureau members: Albert Dubler, President; Louise Cox, Immediate Past President; Michel Barmaki, Secretary General; Patricia Emmett, Treasurer; Antonio Raffaele Riverso, Deniz Incedayi, Thomas Vonier, Mohamed Esa and Ali Hayder, Vice-Presidents. The winners will be announced at the UIA world congress in Durban, South Africa, on 6 August 2014.
