| The built environment has a considerable impact upon our well-being. And in the healthcare setting, architecture plays a vital role. Through the delicate interplay of colour, light, space and form, buildings can help minimize stress and create the optimal healing conditions to maximize recovery. Open to both completed and concept-only projects, the WAN Healthcare Award recognizes designs that incorporate these objectives, whether in a hospital, clinic, care home or surgery. Projects that demonstrate how they have considered the desires and ambitions of its patients and staff, will be particularly key to success within this category. |
A panel of experts, hand-picked for their experience and insight, will be evaluating the designs, plus there'll be special commendations for outstanding achievements within each building type. Award recipients will have their work showcased around the world to our huge network of industry professionals, which often leads to an upswing in commissions and other commercial opportunities. New for this year, the winners of each award will be given a FREE TICKET to World Architecture Day 14: Shanghai, our highly anticipated world event held in November this year. |
