WAC's Togo Country Reporter Franklin Yemeli has been named as the most active Country Reporter of August for successfully completing at least three articles in the WAC's Country Editors/Reporters Program.

WAC's Togo Country Reporter Franklin Yemeli has been named as the most successful name of August by writing stories from Ghana, Cote D Ivoire and Burkina Faso. 

WAC's voluntary-based Country Editors/Reporters Program was initiated in December 2017 aiming to promote local architecture, knowledge, local stories and recent developments from different parts of the world to WAC's global audience, as well as introducing new volunteer journalists and writers as the face of their country. 

The main goal of the program is to elevate local knowledge, local developments, new practices, local news and create a connection between local architects with the world of architecture, as well as expanding our ability to share exclusive and local news with WAC's global audience. 

The program has reached a great success in a short period of time, and has received many applications, and is still receiving applications from all over the world. Composed of architects, architecture students, academicians, writers, experienced journalists and new journalist candidates, currently, WAC has 32 Country Reporters and 5 Country Editors distributed to 21 different countries.

Franklin Yemeli, Togo

Franklin Yemeli was appointed as WAC's Togo Country Reporter on January 25, 2021 to the program. He graduated from the African School of Architecture and Urban Planning (EAMAU), and he is pursuing a Master's Degree in Architecture at EAMAU in Lomé, Togo. 

Franklin is writing stories for blogs and magazines and he develops his own blog, called Devenir Architecte. He has won several international architecture competitions, including the Jacques Rougerie Foundation international architecture competition / African Coastaline / 2018, Architecture MasterPrize / Green architecture / 2019, Gold prize / Creative Conscience Awards / Open Brief / 2019, World Architecture Community Awards in the 34th Cycle in the Student category with Lighting Canopy in 2020.

Besides Togo, Franklin is reporting from various countries like Morocco, Uganda, Ghana, Cote D Ivoire and Burkina Faso. In August, he has successfully completed three stories in the program.
