In our top of the list in interior design news, there is a green-infilled project, called CapitaMall Nuohemule, at Hohhot’s Nuohemule station, Hohhot, Inner Mongolia, China.

The project, designed by CLOU architects, is a transformation of an abandoned shopping mall into an immersive garden using different species of plants, greenery, and water components. A dark and barren seven-story concrete structure was converted into a vibrant and diversified experience of plants, greenery, and water.

The Brick Bond Showroom in New Delhi by RENESA Architecture Design Interiors Studio

Designed by Indian architecture and interior design studio RENESA Architecture Design Interiors Studio, the showroom celebrates the "most resilient fundamental of feature of material in construction" in New Delhi, India.

The space showcases different hues and textures of brick used in both inside and outside. In the project, brick material becomes the protagonist of design as its visual storytelling for all of posterity to behold.

Sadhu Vegetarian Restaurant in Vietnam by Adrei Studio

In our third row, the design of a vegetarian restaurant made of moulded walls has attracted attention by our readers. Designed by Adrei Studio, the restaurant is wrapped by undulating walls, offering a fluid backdrop and featuring small openings that showcase the interior. 

The interior space turns into an exhibition piece itself for its customers in Vietnam. In the heart of the space there is a large dining space welcoming its customer within a sculptural framework.

In our fourth row, a sinuous library, called 2022 Golong Wormhole, hits our list with its striking interior design in China. Designed by PINES ARCH, the space is conceived as an experimental space for events and exhibitions. 

The project is composed of sinuous elements and undulating surfaces providing all-white backdrop. It resembles a wormhole layered like with paper cuts, provides an alluring space for flexible programming.

The fifth place hits the redesign of a residence/showroom with organic-shaped planters that are used to divide the rooms in the interior of the residence in Vietnam. 

Designed by studio anettai, the residence, located within a high-rise condominium in Ho Chi Minh City, visitors can stay and experience a collection of furniture and light fixtures - mainly by the renowned Danish furniture brand, Fritz Hansen.

One of the most-read interior design news of 2022 is the design of Yuntai Ice Chrysanthemum Display Shelves designed by LUO studio. Located in Yuntai Ice Chrysanthemum Industry Park, Houyanmen Village, Henan Province, the studio has created handmade wood-woven shelves to give vernacular feeling and warm atmosphere. 

The exhibition space is used to display its ice chrysanthemum (a species of medicinal chrysanthemum) products. The project was completed with low-cost budget and realized by lightweight & common materials and techniques.

Estonian architecture practice studio Kuidas.works has created a zero-waste temporary restaurant by using earthy elements and a 15-ton rammed-earth table in a town of Viljandi, southern Estonia.

Restaurant 0, located within the ruins of a 19th-century sausage shop in the Old Town of Viljandi, was created for a TV show, exploring different ways of how design can and should be used as a tool to draw attention to the footprint of the design and building industry.

The interior design of a restaurant hits our list as one of the most-read interior design news of 2022. Designed by Riyadh-based architecture studio Azaz Architects, Bofia_The Tiled Cloud is conceived as "a cloud that floats within the space" in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Inspired a term coined in Saudi Arabia for the local canteens, the studio clads the space in colorful tiles and uses curved geometries inside. Calmness and chaos are elaborated together with smooth transitions without straining the eyes.
