The Union of Architects of Russia has launched the 2nd edition of Best Interior Festival, which aims to discover the latest trends in interior design and to expand creative communications between public groups and professional associations, will open on November 19 in the Central House of the Architect, Moscow, Russia. 

Born on the international architectural festival Zodchestvo two years ago, the Best Interior Festival has become an independent guide to the world of high-quality interior design and a driver of interaction between professional associations, society, business communities, and public authorities.

This year the festival will turn into a unique platform for demonstrating works of professionals and exchanging experience between Russian and foreign architects and designers. Workshops and masterclasses from leading specialists will unfold throughout The Central House of the Architect. For the first time in the history of BIF, participants will be able to exhibit their paintings, statues, mosaics and other art objects for auction. Bidding will be held both on the electronic platform of the festival and offline.

The theme of the exposition this year is "Overcoming". The curators of BIF Tatyana Osetskaya and Alexander Salov urge the participants and the audience to overcome their internal borders, and also time and space in their projects and works. 

"Overcoming space is the experience of all its characteristics and characteristics. Any object lives through several stages of its development, from the idea to the implementation," said Tatyana Osetskaya, Alexander Salov. 

Within the framework of the festival, the Russian architectural competition with international participation The National Award "Best Interior" will take place with the goal to search for new original interior solutions, reveal the potential of the contestants and support young professionals.

Competitive works will be considered in two sections:

— Implemented residential interior, that includes the nominations Apartments and Houses;

— Implemented public interior, which includes the nominations HoReCa (hotels, restaurants, cafes), Commercial interior (shopping centers, shops, clubs, showrooms, fitness centers, spas, cinemas, gyms, offices), Social facilities (educational institutions, kindergartens, libraries, and medical institutions).

The General partner of the festival and the competition is KNAUF — the largest company in the production of building materials, which is known not only for its attentive attitude to its customers and employees but also for its openness to the introduction the innovative technologies in production and care for the environment.
