WAC announces Maria Aslam as Pakistan's Country Reporter

Maria Aslam has been appointed as Pakistan's Country Reporter, as part of the WAC's Country Editors/Reporters program. Maria Aslam established ADA Magazine in 2008, along with her practice of architecture and interior design ArchWorks. Her journey of work encompasses design, research, entrepreneurship and now a leading activist in the urban and environmental forums. She has been nominated speaker, convener, juror and critic in various global events. 

A graduate of Indus Valley School of Art and Architecture, Karachi with a Masters degree from McGill University, Montreal has represented Pakistan in many global platforms. She has held prestigious leading positions for various architectural organizations in Pakistan and is currently the Chairperson Pakistan Institute of Interior Designers. Her inaugural book "Interiors of Pakistan" Volume I was launched in 2016. Aslam also served as a Nominator for Aga Khan Awards for Architecture between 2017-2019.

She is a prolific writer, architectural historian and an environmental activist. She is the dynamic and driving force behind ADA and has conceived and conceptualized the ADA Awards for the creative community in the disciplines of Architecture, Design and Art for the region.
