Anish Kapoor donates $1M prize money to help refugees

Anish Kapoor has spoken out against “abhorrent government policies” towards refugees as he was named the recipient of this year’s Genesis prize. The artist said he wanted to use the award, which has been dubbed the Jewish Nobel prize by Time magazine, to highlight the plight of refugees.
UK-based Kapoor, who was born in Mumbai to an Iraqi-Jewish mother and Indian father, is donating his $1m (£800,000) prize to help people who have fled war or persecution.....Continue Reading
