Mohsen Marizad
Mohsen Marizad is a part time instructor at the San Jose State University in USA. He is also full time employee at Gensler architects in San Jose, CA. He complete his BArch at the University of Tehran in Iran, and acquired his M.Arch from the Institute for Advanced Architecture of Catalonia (IAAC), specializing in self-sufficient buildings and digital morphogenesis. His dissertation focused on the mathematical correlation between urban and natural systems. Mohsen has instructed numerous workshops and studios focusing on emergent systems and intelligent geometries in Iran, Europe and the USA. He is committed to research-based design processes and is invested in strengthening the ties between pedagogy and practice. Mohsen co-found Mohsen Marizad Architects in 2015. He is an award winning designer, winning the 2017,2018 Architizer A+ Jury Award and 2017 American Architecture Prize among others.
