Ralph E. Johnson, FAIA, is a Principal and Design Director in the Chicago office of Perkins+Will. His career with Perkins+Will began in 1976. In the past 10 years his projects have been honored with more than 40 design awards, including nine national Honor Awards and more than 20 regional Honor Awards from the American Institute of Architects, as well as a Progressive Architecture Design Award.
Mr. Johnson’s work has been exhibited at the Art Institute of Chicago, the Paris Biennale, and the Sao Paolo Biennale. He is an active member of the Chicago Architectural Club, the American Institute of Architects, the Architecture Committee of the Art Institute of Chicago and The Chicago Antheneum. In addition, he is a Visiting Critic at the Illinois Institute of Technology.
