"Mina Nazmjoo, born in 1987 in Iran, is an architect, researcher, and founder of MAINA Design Studio. She earned her Master’s degree in Architecture from the University of Tehran and further distinguished her expertise by obtaining an international certificate from Delft University of Technology in the Netherlands in the field of designing and constructing Net Zero Energy Buildings. Her professional journey began in 2010 through collaborations with renowned architectural firms both in Iran and abroad. In 2017, she established her own practice, Mayna Design, marking the beginning of an independent and innovative path in the fields of architecture and interior design.
Under her leadership, MAINA Design Studio has successfully completed a wide range of projects, from residential and commercial buildings to cultural complexes and urban regeneration projects, at both national and international levels, earning prestigious awards in the process. Alongside her professional work, Nazmjoo has actively contributed to academic discourse by publishing numerous research articles in specialized journals, particularly in the domains of sustainable architecture and energy.
Her design philosophy is deeply rooted in human-centered architecture, striving to address the existential dimensions of human life through space-making.
