MASK Architects reveals world's first eco-tourism resort producing its own water from air in Africa

MASK Architects has revealed design for the world's first eco-tourism resort producing its own water autonomously by using Air to Water technology in Africa.

The project, dubbed BAOBAB Luxury Safari Resort, aims to create s sustainable and ecological community in Africa by implementing Air to Water Technology that is powered by transparent solar device covered curtain glass.

A series of individual thatched-like wooden lodges are distributed into the forest. The design of lodges is inspired by baobab trees and shaped in the form of baobab trees. Nestled in the wildlife, the lodges feature beachwood exterior styling to create a tropical safari resort development.

Studio Andrew Trotter converts three white stone country houses into bed and breakfast in Oria

Barcelona-based multi-disciplinary practice Studio Andrew Trotter has converted three white stone country houses into a bed and breakfast amongst olive trees in the countryside of Oria, Puglia, Italy.

Named Borgo Gallana, the project consists of the renovation of three traditional houses by using its original structural systems. The new version of three houses brings a fresh look, calmness and serenity into three houses.

While its material palette plays a key role to define these properties, guests enjoy the refreshed feeling of country house when they are inside.

Studio Andrew Trotter renovated two existing structures in the land and designed a courtyard between them by adding two staircases on both sides.

FORMA envisions a beachfront home with tubular volumes raised on slender stilts in Miami

New York-based practice FORMA has envisioned a beachfront house featuring tubular volumes raised on slender stilts in Miami, United States.

Called Miami House, the 144-square-metre house, conceived as a new waterfront home, has recently won the 2022 Best Future House of the Year award by The Chicago Athenaeum and Global Design News.

The award recognises a "vision to present pioneering architectural projects that define the present and shape the future of residential design globally."

Miami House represents FORMA’s first major award for private residential design on environmentally sensitive and vulnerable sites.

Zaha Hadid Architects has unveiled its vision for ODESA EXPO 2030 masterplan made of as series of "demountable" and "redeployable" pavilions in Odesa, Ukraine.Zaha Hadid Architects has joined the delegation representing Odesa, Ukraine at the 171st General Assembly of the Bureau International des Expositions (BIE) in Paris to present the ODESA EXPO 2030 bid proposal.

ZHA's design focuses on an adaptable, flexible and circular design that could contribute to the country’s economy in terms of energy efficiency and low-carbon technologies.
