Founded in 1953, the Architectural Design & Research Institute of Zhejiang University Co., Ltd. (UAD) has nearly 1700 employees today. UAD has always been adhering to the development strategy of “High-taste Culture, Broad Vision, Efficient Management, High-caliber Personnel, Professional Techniques, and Quality Works”. Drawing support from Zhejiang University (ZJU) and applying the academic theory of “Balanced Architecture” as design guidelines, UAD perseveres with innovative creations and project-excellence, realizing “common ZJU, common goals”. It has been credited by over 1500 awards of various types over the years, including excellent design awards at ministerial, provincial, national, and international level.
