Evergreen Ridge LLC will covert the former Somers IBM Campus designed by I.M. Pei and Partners into a private, for profit high school focused on STEM (Science Technology Engineering and Math) curriculums.
Pei Partnership Architects, founded by I.M. Pei’s sons Li Chung and Chien Chung Pei has been selected to oversee the design of the renovation and to construct a new 30,000sf Athletic Center facility on site.
KG+D architects of Mount Kisco, New York will be the executive architect and school planner. The project will be a private boarding and day high school with a capacity to enroll 1,800 students on the 150 acre campus.

Plans for the project were presented to the Somers Town Board In September of 2018. Mr. Tim DiScipio, Evergreen Ridge’s President stated, "It’s got all the key elements: spacious, interconnected buildings, a housing and residential life, plus dorm potential."
While there will be extensive renovations to the 1.4 million sq.ft. Office complex the main considerations will be to convert the interior layout to suite a 21st century school while keeping the original exteriors and site intact.
In addition to the office conversions, the proposed plans include a new arts center, head of school residence, dormitory buildings, an athletic center and athletic fields.
When completed, Evergreen Ridge hopes to have the most progressive academic school in the world. Phase I of the building conversions and new Athletic Center is targeted for a September 2020 completion.
