The Lehmbruck Museum - Center of International Sculpture in Duisburg - seeks from February 2014 for two scientific volunteers:

Scientific volunteer in field press and public relations
 

Job Description:
Besides the sound training in all relevant fields of press and public relations in an international operating Museum we offer a varied and exiting field of activity in a creative team and the opportunity to gain in-depth experience in complex areas (e.g.: the writing of press releases, liaise with media representatives, homepage maintenance, responsibility for social media representation).
Requirements for application: 
University degree in History of Arts (Master of Arts or/and PhD or equivalent degree in a relevant scientific discipline) with focus on modern sculpture and particular knowledge in contemporary art; excellent written communications skills; ability to research quickly and precise; strong ability to think and to act conceptually, high level of team working skills, ability to work under pressure, ability to communicate, flexibility; computer skills, competent handling of MS-Office applications and social media (Facebook, Twitter); fluency in spoken and written German language, good knowledge of English, French is an advantage; work experience in journalism and creative writing. 

Scientific volunteer in field curatorial practice

Job Description:
Besides the sound training in all relevant fields of curatorship in an international operating Museum we offer a varied and exiting field of activity in a creative team and the opportunity to gain in-depth experience in complex areas (e.g.: curating of Museum’s art collection, curating of exhibitions, handling of loan processes and liaise with the artists). 

Requirements for application: 
University degree in History of Arts (Master of Arts or/and PhD or equivalent degree in a relevant scientific discipline) with focus on modern sculpture and particular knowledge in contemporary art; excellent written communications skills; ability to research quickly and precise; strong ability to think and to act conceptually, high level of team working skills, ability to work under pressure, ability to communicate, flexibility; computer skills, competent handling of MS-Office applications; fluency in spoken and written German language; good knowledge of English, French is an advantage; curatorial work experience.
