UIA Congress

The scientific committee revealed the names of seven keynote speakers that will address critical issues related to architecture, the environment, and urban or territory planning in Africa and around the world. They are: Burkinan architect Francis Kéré, Ghanian architect Joe Osae-Addo, South African architect and president of SAIA Sindile Ngonyama, Indian architect, professor and Chair of the Department of Urban Planning and Design at the Harvard Graduate School of Design, Rahul Mehrotra, Architecture for Humanity founder Cameron Sinclair, American urban planner Susannah Drake, Mexican architect Gerardo Salinas and Chineese architect Wang Shu Pritzker Prize 2012

Registrations are now open for the congress. Fees for professionals:

• Until 31 December 2013: 3 500 ZAR ≅ 266 € ≅ 355 US$
• From 1st January to 30 April 2014: 4 500 ZAR ≅ 340 € ≅ 457 US$
• From 1st May to 30 June 2014: 5 500 ZAR ≅ 418 € ≅ 560 US$
• From 1st July 2014: 6 500 ZAR ≅ 494 € ≅ 660US$

Students: 750 ZAR ≅ 57 € ≅ 76 US$ - Accompanying persons: 2 500 ZAR ≅ 190 € ≅260 US$
