UIA2014 Durban MEDIA ACCREDITATION

UIA2014 Durban ‘architecture OTHERWHERE’
3-7 August 2014

In just 50 days Durban will welcome ‘The World Cup of Architects’, for the 25th World Congress on Architecture, UIA2014 Durban at the International Convention Centre Durban (ICC). This will be the largest gathering of architects ever held in southern Africa.

* What if new solutions and new approaches to sustainable city development, education and practice could be learnt from the African continent?

* What if UIA2014 Durban paved the way to address highly specific developmental problems; question existing value systems; establish a new relationship to a living planet and establish a sense of respect through diversity?

* What if we rethink the built environment for the benefit of all, through alternative forms of engagement and decision-making aiming for beauty, improved usability and equal opportunity?

* What if UIA2014 Durban suggests the creation of environments that are accessible and offer opportunities to all?
