Wednesday, May 14, 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Buildings, bridges, and flying machines: the engineering marvels of the Guastavinos paved the way for innovations of all kinds. Join renowned architect Norman Foster, Hon. AIA, and his engineering partner Roger Ridsdill Smith to hear about the father-son team whose patented designs defined the Oyster Bar, Saint John the Divine, Ellis Island's Registry Room, and many more New York City landmarks.
They will show how the Guastavinos' work continues to inspire today's building technologies, such as 3D printing on the moon.

Speakers: Norman Foster, Hon. AIA; and Roger Ridsdill Smith
Organized by: Museum of the City of New York and Center for Architecture
Price: Free for AIA, Museum of the City of New York members, and students with valid ID; $10 for non-members public
