Book Talks: Fairland

Book Talks: Fairland

29 May 2014, @7 pm
Fairland, edited by our 2013 Emerging Curator Francesco Garutti, is a collection of perspectives and possible visions on the role of the art fair as an impermanent realm of possibility and a vivid metaphor for our time, with contributions from authors in disciplines including the curatorial field, ethnological studies, economic history, architecture and visual arts. Studying how the complex relationships between art, commerce, charisma and money are problematized in the spaces of the art fair, the book investigates how shaping and curating them today can be a challenging and revelatory practice full of clues for the future. This event is presented as part of an ongoing series of book presentations in the CCA Bookstore entitled Book Talks.
