As in the previous Congress of the International Union of Architects, UIA, the International Committee or Architectural Critics, CICA, carries out a Symposium during the 25th edition in Durban. The congress will take place from the 3rd to the 7th of August at the Durban International Convention Centre, under the theme “Architecture Otherwere”: http://www.uia2014durban.org/

Since the foundation of CICA in 1978, these symposiums have taken place alongside the UIA, providing a significant analytical input. For 2014, and with the theme of the Congress in mind, our Syposium will undertake a critical analysis with the topic “Other ways for architecture to create a better future”, organized by Louise Noelle and Manuel Cuadra. The event will take place on Monday August the 4th, Meeting Room 21ABC from 11:00 to 14:00, with English as the official language.
