Rafael Manzano Martos AWARD OF CLASSICAL ARCHITECTURE AND RESTORATION OF MONUMENTS 2014 Rafael Manzano Martos Classical Architecture Prize and Restoration of Monuments is awarded to professionals whose work embodies living the principles of classical architecture and traditional urbanism, and in the contemporary world. The whole work of the successful candidate must be directed not only to the preservation and rehabilitation of traditional Spanish architectural heritage and urban, but also to contribute to the continuity of the construction and architectural traditions that shape it. Award is named after the architect Rafael Manzano Martos, who has devoted his professional life to the preservation of the architectural and urban heritage Spanish through both the restoration and the design of new architectures based on that heritage. Rafael Manzano Martos 2014 Prize is organized by The Richard H . Driehaus Charitable Lead Trust and University of Notre Dame School of Architecture (Indiana, USA), in collaboration with the Royal Academy of Fine Arts of San Fernando (Madrid) and MAPFRE FOUNDATION. The winner will receive 50,000 euros and a commemorative plaque. Basis of Award: 1. All professionals who have developed their activities in the field of architecture and urban planning in Spain for at least ten years. They may participate 2.
