Under the impulse conversation "Going International" the practice of architecture is to be illuminated on an international level. The export of architecture from Austria has risen sharply in recent years, opening up new possibilities. But what does it mean "international" to work? What are the opportunities and what are the risks? Illuminated are the different conditions in the Netherlands and Austria. Piber Astrid (1972 *) is since 2008 a partner and senior architect at UNStudio Amsterdam. She was born in Klagenfurt, studied architecture at the Technical University of Vienna and at Columbia University in New York and lives and works in Amsterdam. UNStudio was founded in 1988 by Ben van Berkel and Caroline Bos and currently has offices in Amsterdam and Shanghai, from where most orders are processed. Among the most important projects of UNStudio include the Erasmus Bridge in Rotterdam, the Mercedes-Benz Museum in Stuttgart, which Mumuth Theatre in Graz and the department store Galleria Centre in Cheonan (Korea). Martin Josst (* 1973) is partner since 2004 and principal architect at Delugan Meissl Associated Architects in Vienna. He was born in Hamburg, studied architecture at the Muthesius Academy of Art and Design in Kiel and since 2001 in DMAA. Delugan_Meissl was founded in 1993 by Elke Delugan Meissl and Roman Delugan in Vienna and was expanded in 2004 to DMAA. They are among those Austrian architecture firm whose development over the country's borders attracted international attention early. 2004 on the occasion of the first Architecture Biennale China realized DMAA at the invitation of architecture in progress an apartment in Phoenix City, Beijing. With the implementation of the new Porsche Museum in Stuttgart-Zuffenhausen in 2009 was a significant leap towards awareness and internationality. The completion of two other prominent cultural buildings - the EYE Film Institute in Amsterdam and the Festspielhaus Erl - in 2012 represent significant milestones in the history of the Vienna office.
