Valencia-based design practice Clap Studio has created bold red and black surfaces for the interior of a techno club in Valencia, Spain. 

Named Oven Club, the 100-square-metre club revolutionizes the experience of techno venues, bringing a bold new dimension and perspective.

Clap Studio returns to work with Oven Club, one of the most recognizable venues in Valencia's electronic music scene, more than five years after their initial intervention in the space. 

The goal of the project is to revamp the club's image and strengthen its status as a cultural and musical monument in the city. 

Situated in the center of Valencia, Oven Club has grown to be a popular hangout for fans of house, techno, and all of its subgenres. 

The club's name, "oven," serves as the inspiration for the studio's proposed remodel in this new chapter, which aims to improve the audience's experience by creating a sensual and immersive environment.

The idea is brought to life through a material and visual language that recalls the atmosphere of an oven, where materials change, temperatures rise, and everything vibrates intensely. 

Stainless steel surfaces create an impression of heat and continuous motion by reflecting the venue's moving lights. Additionally, Alpi wood with black and red finishes evokes a burning effect, giving the room coziness and a hint of psychedelics.

The DJ booth remains the focal point of the arrangement, with two opposing bars on either side. Reminiscent of oven heating components, these bars have a grid of LED lights that dynamically change color to reflect the night's energy and mood. 

Together with reflective surfaces and programmable lighting, a horizontal screen behind the DJ booth creates a dynamic and constantly shifting immersive space.

Through a compelling visual story, Clap Studio fortifies Oven's identity with this intervention, turning the actual space into a natural extension of the sound that permeates it. 

The final product is a space that creates a powerful and communal experience by amplifying music through design in addition to hosting it.

Clap Studio previously showcased Hawaii's volcanic landscape in a new fashion store developed for the fashion brand ALOHAS, located in Barcelona, Spain. 

Additionally, the studio created a showroom that embraces a festivity concept dressed with pastel-toned interiors with colorful floral installations in Valencia.
