WAC's voluntary-based Country Editors/Reporters Program was initiated in December 2017, aiming to promote local architecture, knowledge, local stories and recent developments from different parts of the world to WAC's global audience. In addition to elevate local knowledge, the program introduces new volunteer journalists and writers as the face of their country. Recently, WAC announced 16 WAC Country Editors/Reporters who write most viewed stories from all around.
With the program, WAC's Country Reporters/Editors, who get the first information from their local geography, arrange interviews with the architects, attend the openings of buildings and have the first documents about the projects. In this way, the program lays the foundations of an ongoing communication network between architects and WAC's Country Reporters/Editors, as well as sharing new developments from the local geography with WAC's huge audience.
The program is composed of architects, architecture students, academicians, writers, experienced journalists and new journalist candidates. Currently, WAC has 28 Country Reporters and 5 Country Editors distributed to 21 different countries.
