Hamidah Ashrafi Fateha has been appointed as Bangladesh's Country Reporter, as part of the WAC's Country Editors/Reporters program. Fateha was graduated from the Department of Architecture of BRAC University (BRACU) in Bangladesh. At the end of 2016, she was the only Bangladeshi delegate selected to attend Fully Funded Harvard Crossroads Summer Program. Previously, Fateha was awarded with Special Recognition Award at the BRACU in Bangladesh for her high standards of discipline and devotion to duties.
She is currently working as an architect in BRAC Institute of Educational Development, BIED. She is working on project creating various types of child friendly spaces, play centers, day care centers, learning centers for enhancing children's mental and pysical development.
Fateha is always intellectually curious about the greater public good while looking at any project. Her discipline is based on architecture, but she often seeks to transcend conventional disciplinary boundaries by looking at urban poverty and other social issues and works on how it could be dealt with it through alternative models of development.
