On December 8, competition applications to participate in the Open International Competition for the development of architectural and urban planning solutions for Gorskaya territory was launched.

The international competition is open to professional organizations and consortia in the areas of the comprehensive development of territories, architectural design and urban planning which employ specialists in the fields of economics, finance, and the service and socio-cultural programming of territories.

To enter the competition, participants must complete an application form on the official website by January 19, 2022. 

The application must include a portfolio of relevant projects, an essay describing ideas for the Gorskaya territory, as well as information about the company or consortium.

The total prize fund for the competition is RUB 15,000,000. 

The results of the competition will be announced in June 2022.

The customer is Megaline LLC, with the support of the International Society of City and Regional Planners (ISOCARP), the Russian Green Building Council (RuGBC), and the Association of Landscape Architects of Russia. 

The Autonomous Non-profit Organization (ANO) Agency for Strategic Initiatives (ASI) is the general partner. The International Academy of Architecture (IAA) is the special partner. Agency for Strategic Development CENTER is the operator of the competition. 

Target

Selection of the most optimal architectural and urban planning solutions for the Gorskaya territory in St. Petersburg, reflecting a promising development model, taking into account the identified potential.

Participants

Professional organizations and consortia in the field of integrated development of territories, architectural design and urban planning, including specialists in the field of economics, finance, service and socio-cultural programming of territories, will be able to take part in the international competition.

Jury

Representatives of state authorities of St. Petersburg, experts in the field of architecture, urban planning, integrated development of territories, economics and spatial planning, marketing and communications, technologies and innovations, as well as representatives of the customer of the competition LLC "Megaline".

Finalists

Based on the results of the first stage of the competition, 3 finalists will be selected on the basis of the relevant portfolio and essay, who will be engaged in the development of competitive proposals.

Format; Open, international and Two-stage.

Prize fund

The 3 finalists who will develop the bids are paid a fixed remuneration of 2,000,000 rubles each (including all taxes and fees).

Based on the results of the Jury meeting, in accordance with the distribution of prize places, an additional payment will be made in the appropriate amount; 

1ST PLACE: 4,000,000 rubles

2ND PLACE: 3,000,000 rubles

3RD PLACE: 2,000,000 rubles

The total size of the prize fund of the competition is 15,000,000 rubles.
