Ashish Batra has been appointed as Oman's Country Reporter, as part of the WAC's Country Editors/Reporters program. Ashish Batra received his Bachelor's Degree in Architecture from Guru Nanak Dev University of Punjab, India and his Master's degree from Guru Ram Dass School of Planning in the same University. He is currently working in LEA Associates South Asia private limited (LASA), in Muscat, Oman as an Architect and Urban Planner.
He has over ten years of extensive experience in all aspects of Architecture and Urban Planning. He is interested in the urban design, urban planning and community architecture and has divided his focus on various issues from grass root level urban planning to building level architecture. He is a practising as an architect and urban planner and he uses all the above experiences to critically research and write about architecture, lighting, urban design, urban planning, transport systems and related fields. He is also serving as a co-author in Archi-fied! And Architect In Making, since March 2016 with contribution of several research papers.
"With WAC, it appears to be a great opportunity to increase the research and writing skills, stay up to date with the latest developments and creations within the world of architecture, and observe their social, cultural and environmental impacts," said Ashish Batra.
