WAC announces most active Country Editors/Reporters of October

World Architecture Community proudly announces that three Country Reporters/Editors have been named as the most active Country Reporters/Editors of October for successfully completing at least three articles in the WAC's Country Editors/Reporters Program.
WAC's the Netherlands Country Reporter Lola Kleindouwel, WAC's India Country Reporter and Deputy Chief Editor Varun Kumar and WAC's Egypt Country Reporter Asmaa Kamaly are among the names of October as the most active Country Reporters/Editors.
Launched in December 2017, WAC's voluntary-based program was initiated to help elevate local architecture and knowledge to the global architecture community through the new ways of digital journalism.
The program, reaching a success in a short time, includes experienced journalists, architects, architecture students, academicians and new journalist candidates from many different countries of the world. Currently, WAC has 37 Country Reporters and 7 Country Editors distributed over 22 countries.
The WAC has recently added a new component to the program, starting from October 2020, the WAC will announce the most active Country Editors/Reporters of the month and the announced Country Editors/Reporters will receive a Certificate of Appreciation.

Lola Kleindouwel, the Netherlands
Lola Kleindouwel was appointed as the Netherlands Country Reporter of WAC on August 17, 2020. She is based in the Netherlands and graduated from the Architecture and the Built Environment at Delft University of Technology in 2018.
Since her appointment to the program, Lola has been one of the program's most active Country Reporters and wrote 5 articles in October, she broke a record in a month in the program.
Moreover, she also interviewed 3XN founder Kim Herforth Nielsen as part of WAC's Live Interview Series. You can watch Lola's live interview on WAC's IGTV.

Varun Kumar was appointed as WAC's India Country Reporter on April 9, 2017 and due to his increasing success in proper selection of stories and editorial/managerial skills, he was upgraded as WAC's Deputy Chief Editor in November 2018.
Varun was born in Chennai, India, he graduated from The Department of Architecture, Sathyabama University. Varun's interest in writing is to focus on local architecture and knowledge and pursue local initiatives that have an impact in architecture and urbanism.
"I wanted to grow as a journalist and pursue my long time interest of chronicling content. WAC’s Country Reporter Program promised chances to practice this and I applied," said Varun Kumar upon his appointment.
Successfully completing three stories in October, Varun Kumar previously interviewed Rajesh Advani, Founder of ArchitectureLive! platform, as part of WAC's live Interview Series. You can watch Varun's live interview on WAC's IGTV.

Asmaa Kamaly was appointed as WAC's Egypt Country Reporter on May 26, 2019. Asmaa Kamaly is based in Cairo, Egypt. She holds a Master's Degree from Cairo University and the Brandenburg University of Technology, Germany in Urban Design.
Asmaa has a Bachelor's of Science in Environmental Urban Planning from Cairo University and she has a diploma in Fashion Design from the Istituto Di Moda Burgo- Cairo branch.
Since her appointment to the program, Asmaa has been one of most active Country Reporters and she has been following recent projects and large-scale developments in Egypt. So far, she wrote 21 articles in the WAC's Country Editors/Reporters Program. In October 2020, she successfully completed three articles.
