Since July 2014, the Bauhaus Archive / Museum of Design has a new corporate design. The Stuttgart-based design agency L2M3 developed the appearance, in the center of which was specifically developed for the Bauhaus-Archiv font "bayer next" is. It can be found now back on the newly designed website of the Bauhaus Archive and in all print materials.

The name of the font "bayer next" is a reference to the famous Bauhaus teacher Herbert Bayer, who entered among other things, his "universal" in the typography history of the 20th century and in the 1970s the word "bauhaus-archiv" for the Berlin Bauhaus-designed institution. This has since formed the core of the script logo of the Bauhaus Archive and will continue, supplemented by the designed the new corporate font bayer next text element "museum of art and design", preserved in its original form.

In addition to the revised name lettering "Bauhaus Archive / Museum of Design", the system developed by L2M3 for the Bauhaus archive includes an extensive set of characters with the new typeface "bayer next" and taken from historical Bauhaus fonts glyphs. This unlimited possibilities of adaptation of applications for print and digital media were created. In total, more than 500 characters have been developed and collected in an "Archive of glyph shapes."

Developed by Prof. Sascha Lobe and his team of Stuttgart agency L2M3 Communication Design GmbH overall design includes not only the office equipment of the Bauhaus Archive numerous applications such as exhibition catalogs and the bi-annual program magazine. The new information and control system for interior and exterior of the Bauhaus Archive is installed in the coming months.Already in mid-July 2014 starts in cooperation with Wall AG a poster campaign in the Berlin area, who will present the new look of the Bauhaus Archive Berliners and visitors to the capital.

Posters with famous Bauhaus objects by Marianne Brandt, Marcel Breuer, Walter Gropius and Oskar Schlemmer load from mid-July 2014 in the whole of Berlin to visit the Bauhaus Archive / Museum of Design in. The Bauhaus Archive Berlin houses the world's largest Bauhaus collection and is open daily except Tuesdays 10-17 clock.
