A project designed 20 years ago now begins to finally take shape. It is in an old riverside industrial zone, now uncharacterized by the time, that will be born the new green park and residential complex of Braço de Prata, in Lisbon.

The development comprises one of the largest gardens in Lisbon designed by the architects Felipa Cardoso de Menezes and Catarina Assis Pacheco, who won the contest of ideas promoted 2 years ago. Here are planned lawns, terraces, a cycle path, maintenance circuit and a library that will complement the 499 apartments designed by Renzo Piano's firm Renzo Piano Building Workshop (RPBW) in 1998 and which are now being built. Prata Housing complex is the first project of RPBW that will be built in Portugal.

There are 12 lots that correspond to 12 buildings with about 7,000 square meters of services and offices and also 19,000 square meters of a commercial area, totalling 244,000 square meters of gross building area that will receive about 2,500 people.

Already considered one of the largest architectural and town planning projects in the city of Lisbon, with a current investment of 70 million euros and expected to reach 450 million euros, the Prata Housing Complex intends to link the Park of Nations to Terreiro do Paço, in the heart of Lisbon, with the Tejo river as the main view.

The expected date for the completion of the entire project, with urban and architectural design, will be in 2027, however, and if the pace of sales remains the process could be anticipated in about 7 years. For those interested, the typologies range from T1 to T6 duplex and the values are between 550 thousand euros and 2.5 million euros.
