These six architects—all Pritzker Prize winners—have designed an impressive number of museums around the globe and have dozens more coming up. Here’s a breakdown of their most memorable commissions, which range from renovated factories to shiny new structures housing the world’s most prized cultural artifacts.

Best Known For: The Musée du quai Branly, near the Eiffel Tower.
Did You Know?: One of the facades of Nouvel’s Arab World Institute in Paris is made from automated panels designed with Arabic latticework that open and shut depending on levels of natural light.

Best Known For: The limestone, glass and titanium Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao, Spain.
Did You Know?: Gehry’s Weisman Art Museum on the University of Minnesota campus in Minneapolis is two-faced: One side is brick to blend in with the surrounding campus; the other is Gehry’s signature mélange of metals.
