RAIC President Wayne De Angelis, FRAIC, and Australian Institute of Architects President David Karotkin signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) on August 7 for mutual support and cooperation.

The institutes agree to work toward mutual recognition on professional development and to exchange information on education, registration and practice. They also agree to exchange resources for conferences, intern opportunities, Fellowship, exhibits, and coverage in journals.

The MOU was signed during the International Union of Architects (UIA) World Congress in Durban, South Africa.

“It was our pleasure to sign with such a wonderful group from a beautiful and considerate country,” Mr. De Angelis wrote in an email to Mr. Karotkin.
