United Kingdom Architecture News - Jul 07, 2016 - 12:40 8457 views
ArcSoc is proud to host the annual exhibition of the Cambridge University Architecture Department between 14-17 July, 2016, The Summer Show is the culmination of a year’s design work in the studios. From the initial explorations of first years to the final schemes of their graduates, the ethos of their work is grounded in context and collaboration across the school.
At Bargehouse they are holding lectures from esteemed alumni and a day for prospective students to understand the Cambridge course in more depth, with introductory talks from some of their studio masters. Alongside the drawings and models, they’re installing pavilions and extracurricular artwork to showcase their students’ many talents.
ArcSoc is an entirely student-run society. They raise funds for the exhibition by hosting a variety of events in Cambridge throughout the year, from drawing classes that support the university’s artists to buskers’ stages in collaboration with local charities. At Bargehouse they are able to put on a selection of these events at an unprecedented scale: come and join them for a celebration of their students’ achievements.
Join and view the product of a years work for the undergraduate and graduate students involved in the Cambridge Department.
