International Project Competition: Restructuration Of The Romanian National History Museum

The Romanian Chamber of Architects is organising an international project competition for the spatial and architectural redesign of the Romanian National History Museum in Bucharest. This single-phase project competition complies with the UNESCO-UIA regulations and has been approved by the UIA.
The Romanian Ministry of Culture is supporting this competition, to be launched on 1st February 2016. The Romanian National History Museum is being renovated in order to become a contemporary structure, significant at the European level, by re-evaluating the building and its urban context, refitting the collections, and improving the quality of cultural services offered to the public. In this context, the international competition aims to select the best spatial and museographical concept for the new museum. Irish architect Rosin Heneghan will repreent the UIA in the jury.
